WBots, available at https://chat.wbots.app/, provides a unified customer communication system that enables businesses to connect their Meta channels, including Instagram and Messenger, to a centralized inbox powered by Chatwoot. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and what rights users and connected businesses have regarding that data.

1. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to data processed through WBots when businesses use the platform to receive, manage, organize, and respond to customer messages coming from supported communication channels such as Instagram Direct Messages and Facebook Messenger.

  • Public profile information made available through Meta APIs, such as display name and profile picture
  • Platform-scoped user identifier provided by Meta
  • Message content sent by users to connected Instagram or Messenger accounts
  • Conversation metadata such as timestamps, channel source, message delivery status, and assignment status
  • Business account connection details required for channel configuration and authorized access
  • Any data voluntarily provided by the user within a conversation

4. How the Service Works

When a business connects its Instagram or Messenger account to WBots, the platform receives authorized access through Meta’s official connection and permission flow. Once the integration is completed, messages sent by customers to the connected business account may appear inside the WBots dashboard. Authorized business users can then read, organize, assign, and reply to those conversations from one interface.

Important: WBots uses data only to provide customer communication functionality requested by the connected business. WBots does not sell message data or use it for unrelated advertising purposes.

5. Legal and Operational Basis

Data is processed for the legitimate purpose of providing customer support and communication tools to businesses that choose to connect their Meta messaging channels to WBots.

6. Data Storage and Security

  • Data is stored within systems used to operate WBots and Chatwoot-based messaging workflows
  • We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse
  • Access to business conversation data is limited to authorized personnel and authorized users of the connected business

7. Data Sharing

  • We do not sell personal data
  • We do not rent conversation data to third parties
  • Data may be processed by infrastructure or service providers only as necessary to operate the service securely
  • Data may be disclosed where required by law or to protect platform security and rights

8. Retention

Conversation data may be retained as long as needed to operate the service, maintain business records, support customer communication history, resolve disputes, or comply with applicable obligations, unless deletion is requested and legally permissible.
